THE POWER OF EXPECTATION
Dear Friend,
What are you expecting from life, what are you expecting from your career? Should you visit a maternity ward in any general hospital you are bound to meet a lot of expectant mothers. They are literally expecting to give birth to a child, but you know what, all of us in this pilgrimage of life are in a maternity room, you are expecting something, next week you are going to be expecting something, you are either expecting good or you are expecting bad things to happen. The problem is you cannot see it with your naked eye. Either way whatever you are expecting, there is no doubt that you will get it.
1 Samuel 17:47 “….this day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down, and cut off your head, the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. And those who gather here will know that it’s not by sword or by spear, that the Lord saves, but the battle is the Lord’s.”
Have you ever gone to a match that has already been decided? Have you ever gone into a match, that you already knew who was going to win? That is what happens when the devil throws challenges to a person who is expecting good things from God. Nothing pleases God more than your expectations; it pleases God when you expect a lot from Him.
