Dominion

• Dominion is not a church concept, but a God concept.
• God created man in His own image so that man can have dominion over everything.
• The marketplace is where ideas are exchanged, economies are shaped, influence is built.
• Church members aren’t just called to worship and pray, but to have dominion.
• So God created man, but didn’t first place him in a temple, but a garden.
• Dominion in the marketplace means bringing kingdom excellence to your work, bringing order, values, wisdom, impact.

Your workplace is your pulpit of influence.

• Do what you do with all your heart.
• Grace is what God makes; faith is what you take.

Dominion is expressed…

1. At your workplace. Verse 15. Adam was to work in the garden, and his assignment was to work and keep it. Work came before sin and curse. *Colossians 3:23 NIV[23] Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, https://bible.com/bible/111/col.3.23.NIV. Proverbs 22:29 NIV[29] Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank. https://bible.com/bible/111/pro.22.29.NIV*. *Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV[10] Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. https://bible.com/bible/111/ecc.9.10.NIV*. Work is sacred when done unto God.
2. Through excellence. *Daniel 6:3 NIV[3] Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. https://bible.com/bible/111/dan.6.3.NIV*. Excellence is a kingdom requirement. Dominion is not loudness, laziness, but excellence. Do it with all your heart. Integrity, consistency and standards all contribute to excellence.
3. By wisdom and strategy. Wisdom is the principal thing. Proverbs *4:7 NIV[7] The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. https://bible.com/bible/111/pro.4.7.NIV*. When you pray, God gives you strategies and insights. Wisdom creates value, solutions create influence, and innovation is a kingdom tool.
4. Through influence, not intimidation. *Matthew 5:14 NIV[14] “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.5.14.NIV*. The marketplace is dominated by presence. Influence is greater that position. You need to be an influencer. You must be. Your presence must shift environments. Kingdom people are change agents.
5. By bringing glory to God in the marketplace. *Colossians 3:17 NIV[17] And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. https://bible.com/bible/111/col.3.17.NIV*. Your career is not just for survival, but to bring God glory. 1 *Corinthians 10:31 NIV[31] So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. https://bible.com/bible/111/1co.10.31.NIV.
